    Better than Hunters!

    The team at Bridgfords managed in a couple of weeks what our previous couldn't in 5 months. Sue was fantastic and somehow managed to deal with the buyer's solicitor (who were useless, by the way) better than anyone. You will pay a little bit more with Bridgfords than some agents but they are worth the money

    Communication issues

    Communication could have been better both when putting the property on the market and during the process. We were informed our buyer had pulled out when we were nearly at exchange, yet two days later, after having put the property back on the market and gone through additional expense, they were back and wanting to exchange in a few days. This was very frustrating which could possibly have been avoided if communication between all parties had been better. The local office closed mid way through the process which caused issues.

    Unprofessional

    They did not do any of the work promised. I had to write the description for the house, then they still managed to get it wrong on rightmove and zoopla and the floor plan they got wrong too. I had to ask them to put up a for sale sign, I had to ask them to change it to 'sold' when the house was sold. The worst thing was that they agreed with us that we would pay them 0.85% of the sale price WITHOUT VAT added but then during the process they tried to add VAT to the fee. Even after assuring me that I was right and our agreement indeed stated that we would not pay VAT they still sent an invoice to our solicitors where they added VAT. Also, they try to get you to use their sister company Countrywide as the solicitors who are super slow. We knew this so did not instruct Countrywide to be our solicitors but then Bridgfords managed to convince the buyers to use them as their solicitors and they slowed down the process immensely. Both Bridgfords and Countrywide are completely incompetent and useless in my opinion.

    Head and shoulders above other estate agents! Bridgefords were excellent.

    I was delighted with the very personal and personable service from Bridgefords. All members of the team in my local office made sure they visited my property and knew how to pitch it to their customers. They engaged plenty of viewings and the follow up and feedback was always very thorough and informative. I feel they worked really hard to find me a serious buyer and when they did the negotiations done on price on my behalf were very professional and I believe I got a better price due to their tenacity and professionalism. In a climate where estate agents can often get a bad press I was very very pleased with my experience and would, and have, recommended them to my neighbours

    the worst estate agency we have ever dealt with

    its was the worst experience we have had to go through they were not up front with the information when ever we asked a question one member of their staff told us we don't need to know that but we were paying them yes we did need to know and trying to put us off moving before xmas our house was viewed by the buyer on the 30th August 2016 we didn't move out until the 18th January 2017 we don't think the fees we paid £3.360.00 was worth it we did just about all the viewing ourselves well over priced for the work they did no wonder the RIPON Branch has shut . so delaying our move it cost us extra money to stay in Ripon which we was'nt happy about we think we should get some compensation due to you miss leading our house move . you knew when the buyer wanting to get our house but you with held that information and you stopped further viewing so this buyer could purchase our house not good we will not recommend Bridgfords to any one .
