A new block of flats above the Downtown bar in Bolton town centre has been submitted to Bolton Councils planning department.
The proposed 81 flats will be aimed at students and young professionals. The bottom floor of the building, which was formerly a bar, is currently being redeveloped to offer space for three commercial units.
Construction of the new flats, if approved could be finished by Summer 2017, offering modern living to students in the area and a central base for working professionals. It's a great location, in an up and coming area, the building will neighbour several student accommodation blocks, which have already been invested in over the past two years.
This new development will have a positive impact on Bolton’s student community and create new business opportunities within the town centre in the commercial space that is already being renovated.
